Noida to Introduce 'Korean' & 'Japanese' Cities
If you are a Cars or Tech Enthusiast, Korean City and Japanese City in Noida is impacting you!
Arun Vir Singh, CEO of the Yamuna Authority (YEIDA), said the Japanese and Korean industrial cities would have firms manufacturing chips, semiconductors, AI equipment and cameras.
š WHY India needs to promote MAKE IN INDIA for electronics?
- Production slowdowns: Car and IT manufacturers often needs to cut down on production due to the chip and semi conductor shortage from foreign manufacturers due to political / economic / environmental changes.
- Increased prices: Limited supply of finished goods (specially cars and IT parts) due to production slowdowns eventually leads to inflation in the economy which is directly proportionate to price hikes for consumers in India.
- Delivery delays: The waiting period for consumers who pre-ordered cars and found themselves on waiting lists due to the global semiconductor shortage has varied widely, depending on the car model, manufacturer, and specific variant. Regardless, this time period has been seen to vary between 2 Month to 2 Years.
These challenges in importing Korean chips are impacting India's efforts to establish a robust semiconductor industry domestically. As semiconductors are essential components in various electronic devices, including cars and IT products, any delays or disruptions in chip imports can lead to setbacks in the manufacturing processes of these goods in India.
This makes operations easier for homegrown IT part brand Partsbaba to create a smoother distribution channel for the small retail and repair shop owners while working towards the Make In India culture.
